(Spencer)– A traffic stop Friday on Highway 18 in Clay county resulted in drug charges against a Spencer woman.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 8:00 p.m. for a traffic violation. During the stop, the deputy discovered the driver, 24-year-old Ashley Call of Spencer, was in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana. Call was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. She was released later after posting a $5,000 bond.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by the Spencer K-9 Unit.
