(Spencer)– Minor injuries were reported Thursday in a single-vehicle rollover in the 2700 block of Clay County Road B24.
The Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Robert Hargrave of Spencer was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Metro eastbound when he lost control. The vehicle went off the side of the road, then back to the south, entering the ditch backwards. The vehicle then rolled, coming to rest on its top.
Hargrave was treated on the scene by paramedics for some minor cuts and was released to his parents.
Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
Hargrave was cited for failure to maintain control.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Dickens Fire and Rescue and Spencer Ambulance.
The crash took place shortly before 4:30 p.m.
