(Spencer)– A ribbon cutting was held Monday evening on the Clay County connector trail that will join up with the Iowa Great Lakes trail at the Dickinson county line north of Fostoria.
Kathy Fueston of the Clay county trails group tells KUOO news the connection between Clay and Dickinson counties will be an important link in a trail that ultimately will extend some 220 miles from Lake Park to Des Moines. She says they’ve established a timeline to complete the project but admits it’s probably quite aways down the road yet…
A group of riders rode the new trail from the north edge of Spencer to the Clay-Dickinson county line as part of Monday’s festivities.
