Pickup vs Semi Collision Injures Two

(Sibley)-- Two people were injured Friday in a collision involving a pickup and a semi on Highway 60 at 230th Street in Osceola county.
Authorities say the pickup, driven by 19-year-old Nathan Dekam of George, was westbound on 230th Street and was attempting to cross Highway 60. Deputies say the semi, driven by 65-year-old Erwin Wynia of Sheldon, was northbound on Highway 60 when the two collided in the intersection. Both the pickup and semi went into the median and overturned.
Dekam was transported to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley where he was treated and released; Wynia was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Sheldon where he was treated and released.
Damage to the pickup was estimated at $17,000; damage to the semi was estimated at $100,000.
