(Milford)– No injuries were reported in a weekend house fire in Milford.
The Milford Fire Department was called to 1307 8th Street in Milford around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and found the residence full of smoke.
The fire, which had been burning in the basement, was quickly brought under control, but not before it spread into a wall between the kitchen and bathroom and to the ground floor.
Smoke damage was reported throughout the house, with some water damage to the kitchen and bathroom.
Firefighters opened a wall to fully extinguish the fire and to check for hotspots.
All the occupants got out safely.
Firefighters were on the scene until shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Milford Fire Chief Jim Carpenter says as of right now the cause is undetermined.
The Milford Fire Department was assisted by the Milford Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
