Dickinson County Endowment Fund Awards Two More Special Project Grants

December 21, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Endowment Fund has awarded two more special project grants to schools in the county. Each school district in the county has been awarded $2,500 for special projects that have direct student impact.

The Spirit Lake Community School District will put its grant funds toward a permanent shade canopy at the Elementary outdoor classroom. The area is used by students in TK through 4th grade.

Graettinger-Terril will use their grant to help implement a creative outdoor playground at the elementary building. The project will add a sandbox, benches and outdoor gathering tables.

As we reported previously, the Okoboji Community School District was also awarded $2,500 though the program. It will go toward a project to enhance art education at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels.
