Corridor Holds Business Recognition Luncheon

(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation announced the winners of its 2025 Business Recognition Awards during a luncheon Wednesday in Spencer. Young Professional of the Year is Ashley Jones of Spencer Hospital; the Entrepreneur of the Year Award goes to Jeremy and and Kelcey Morrison of Bonfire Web Company and Topog Coffee House; Lakes News Shopper of Milford is the recipient of the Small Business Excellence Award with Spencer Hospital receiving the Large Business Excellence Award. The Project of the Year Award went to Platinum Crush, LLC of Buena Vista county and Estherville Mayor Kenny Billings is the recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award.

Recognition was also given to Merrill Manufacturing in Storm Lake and Vanderhaag’s in Spencer for being featured recently by Senator Joni Ernst.

Outgoing members of the Corridor’s Board of Directors were also recognized, including Tim Fairchild of Dickinson county, Dr. Brian Lensmeier of Buena Vista University, John Pluth of Emmet county and Mike Porsch with the city of Storm Lake.
