(Spirit Lake)– City officials in Spirit Lake and other cities in the Iowa Great Lakes say tap water IS SAFE.
Spirit Lake City Attorney- Administrator Gregg Owens says they’ve had reports that residents are being told and/or are hearing there may be concerns about the water in the City of Spirit Lake, whether for homes or businesses. Owens says there NO issues with drinking water. He adds The water plant has had no issues at all with water treatment before or during recent events. Owens says there is no reason to expect there will be any issues, but he says if any ever arise the public would be notified immediately and through all available means.
Owens encourages anyone with questions to contact the water plant or City Hall.
