(Arnolds Park)-There’s still time to register for The University of Okoboji Oktoberfest activities. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

The 32nd Annual University of Okoboji Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, September 30 at Preservation Plaza.

Iowa Great Lakes Chamber CEO Blain Andera says, many events are free, but a few require registration. “We have several things that you have to preregister for, one of them is the Outdoor Vendor Show, and we are still accepting a few more vendors. Go to uofooktoberfest.com and click on the registration tab for that. The Bean Bag Tournament is at 12:30 on Saturday, and you have to preregister for that, as well, and there also is still time to get registered for the Bike Ride around West Lake Okoboji. It takes off at 10 a.m. from Preservation Plaza.

He adds that festivities will include live music and kids games. “We have Shirts & Skins, they’re going to be performing on the big stage from noon until 4. We’ve got inflatables that are going to be down there. Arnolds Park Amusement Park is bringing out a couple of their kid’s rides, both of those events are free. At 1 p.m. we are giving away that EV Smart E Bike. Everybody who registers for the Oktoberfest Bike Ride is automatically registered. A couple other events, the Keg Toss is at 1:30, Stein Holding Competition is at 2:30 and then the Kiwanis Duck Derby, where someone’s gonna have an opportunity to win $1,000 is at 3 p.m. Everything’s right there at Preservation Plaza on the Green Space.”
