(Spencer)– Those attending this year’s Clay County Fair will notice some big changes the very instant they enter the grounds. Fair General Manager Jason Brockshus says new ticket booths are being constructed…
“They’re a new style. We partnered with EPS and Quail Construction. They’re constructing those this week. Brand new ticket booths. Not only will they be better for the ladies that are taking your tickets, but also I think more welcoming for the fairgoer as well. And those two permanent booths will be there all the time, so they’re going to be very much look like the iconic Gate A towers but kind of a 2025 spin on that to welcome people all year long. And then we’re going to put a portable booth in the inside so you have lots of ways to get your tickets, lots of lines to get people through there very quickly as possible.”
And when it comes to keeping track of the daily events at this year’s fair, Brockshus says you’ll be able to view and print out daily guides at claycountyfair.com…
“We have various free stages at various places on the grounds. A fair map is also on the website so if you need to find your way finding around there. We’ve added some signage on the grounds this year to help people out as you’re out on the grounds trying to see what you need to see. But we know that following a schedule is very important, so those schedules of the different acts and entertainment and the things going on are on those daily guides, then you can plan your day accordingly.”
Brockshus says the guides, which will also be available in hard copies at the various kiosks on the grounds, are designed to be user friendly…
“It’s kind of broken down to, we have our theme this year is the wonders of the world’s greatest county fair, so if you think iconic wonders of the world, so it’s a behold thing. It’s like behold the barns and that area will list all the livestock exhibits going on. Behold the fair, just some special day activities, and behold the free stages which is all the free entertainment. And then, of course, last but not least, behold the grandstands. That’s really the large, iconic draw that draws a lot of people to the fairgrounds and we’re excited for the show there that we have to offer this year.”
The 2025 Clay County Fair powered by SMU is coming up September 6th-14th.
