(Spencer)– New studies, including one by the U.S. Census Bureau, show the area’s housing shortage is worsening, especially in the low to moderate income range.

Evert says the Corridor has developed a four year strategic plan to help address the matter, and pointed to programs in Spencer, Sioux Rapids and Estherville as examples of what’s being done to address the issue in those communities.
