(Milford)– A new principal has been selected for the Okoboji Middle School. A post on the district’s Facebook page says Lucas DeWitt has been tabbed for the position, pending approval by the Okoboji School Board.
DeWitt holds a B.S. From Wartburg College along with an M.A from Iowa State University and a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University.
DeWitt is a certified K-12 teacher and has experience in school administration, having served as a high school and elementary principal for 15 years. He was honored as the 2013 Iowa Elementary Principal of the Year and received the National Association of Elementary Schools Doctoral Scholarship while at Nova Southeastern University.
