New Executive Director Named For E’Ville Chamber

(Estherville)– The Estherville Chamber of Commerce has a new Executive Director.

The chamber’s board of directors announced Wednesday Renee Stowell has been named to the position. She officially starts July 1st. Stowell succeeds Dusty Embree in the position, who resigned in April to become Director of the Jones County Economic Development organization.

Stowell worked seven years in student services at Oregon State University, three year in marketing for the British Council, a global non-profit organization, and a year and-a-half in grant program administration for the Research Center for Cultural Diversity and Community Renewal at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She also holds a Master in College Student Services Administration Degree from OSU and a Bachelor in Political Science Degree from UWL.

Stowell has been active previously in the Estherville chamber, as she has been assisting with various activities since she and her husband arrived in the community this past March.
