(Graettinger)– Upper Des Moines Opportunity has a new Executive Director. Julie Edwards began working in that capacity for the agency in April of this year. She most recently served as UDMO’s Early Childhood Programs Director.
In her new role as Executive Director, Edwards is responsible for the overall administration of programs and goals for Upper Des Moines Opportunity and reports directly to the Board of Directors. She also prepares and oversees budgets and works with multiple funding sources, along with assessing community needs and resources and the needs of families and individuals affected by low incomes and poverty.
Edwards is a native of Pocahontas and currently resides in Spencer.
