(Des Moines)– Governor Kim Reynolds on Friday announced a district judge appointment in an area judicial election district.
Ashley Sparks will serve as a district judge in Judicial Election District 2B which includes Calhoun, Pocahontas, and Sac counties. Sparks fills a vacancy created by the retirement of James Ellefson.
Sparks resides in Bondurant. She owns Sparks Law PLLC, and is a Boone County Magistrate. Sparks received an undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University, a master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and her law degree from Drake University Law School.
