April 25, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Des Moines)– Another case of bird flu has been confirmed in Iowa, this time in Kossuth County along the Minnesota border. The virus was found in a non-commercial poultry flock on a residential property. State Agriculture officials don’t know yet how many birds will have to be destroyed.

Kossuth is the 14th Iowa county to report a bird flu outbreak.

So far, more than 13 million birds have been destroyed in Iowa in efforts to stop the spread of avian flu.
