(Spirit Lake)– Trial is underway in Dickinson county district court for a Spirit Lake man accused of trying to kill a woman last summer at a home they shared in Spirit Lake.
A judge is hearing the case of 39-year-old James Naujock after he waived his right to a jury trial.
Naujock was charged with attempted murder, interference with official acts and interference with emergency communication in connection with the incident in July of last year at a residence on Gary Avenue. Upon arriving at that location Spirit Lake police say they found the victim, Valentine Waltz, had been attacked with a knife.
