(Sheldon)– Four people were taken into custody, and theft and drug charges have been filed on two of them, in an incident in Sheldon.
Police there say they were notified Friday evening of a wanted subject who was staying at a residence in the 200 block of 8th Street in central Sheldon. The High risk Entry and Arrest Team (HEAT) was requested for assistance.
Police say around 1:00 AM on Saturday the team was able to take four individuals from the residence into custody. Two search warrants were obtained and executed at the home. Officers say the search allegedly revealed evidence from several thefts in Sheldon that were under investigation. They say drugs and several items of drug paraphernalia were also recovered.
Officers arrested 37-year-old Pricilla Rosemarie Gonzalez of Sheldon on charges of theft in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th degrees, operating a vehicle without owners’ consent, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The second-degree theft charge is a class D felony. The other charges are all misdemeanors.
They also arrested 44-year-old Gabriel Anthony Triviso of Sheldon, who had several outstanding warrants, including an O’Brien County warrant for theft 3rd degree. Triviso was charged with theft 3rd degree, theft 5th degree, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, which are all misdemeanor offenses.
The identities of the other two individuals and any charges they may face were not released at this time.
The incident is still under investigation and several charges are pending.
