Multi-Jurisdictional Exercise To Be Held In Armstrong

June 10, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Armstrong)– A preparedness drill involving a number of agencies from throughout the region will be held Wednesday (June 12th) in Armstrong. Emmet County Emergency Management Director Travis Sheridan says the exercise will be held at the North Union School beginning at 3:00 pm that afternoon. Sheridan says he wants the public to be aware in advance that there will be a heavy presence of law enforcement and first responders at that location and is requesting the public stay away while the exercise is underway. He says they’re hoping to have things wrapped up by 4:30 or so Wednesday afternoon.

In addition to Emmet, Sheridan says the exercise will involve agencies from Kossuth and Palo Alto counties in Iowa and Martin county, Minnesota.
