(Windom, Mn.)– A Jackson man was seriously injured Tuesday evening when a motorcycle he was driving collided with a deer on Highway 71 south of Windom in Jackson county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 50-year-old Lawrence Hinton of Jackson was driving a 1992 Honda motorcycle when he collided with the animal around 5:45 p.m.
Hinton was taken to the Windom hospital and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux falls with facial lacerations and possible injuries to his back, neck and left hand.
Moderate damage was reported to the motorcycle.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
