(Spencer)– A Spencer man was seriously injured after losing control of a motorcycle he was driving over the weekend.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says Timothy Korbitz was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson in a group of other cycles on 350th Street. The other drivers reported that it appeared Korbitz was passing others when he went off the road to the left. He then attempted to pull back onto the road, but never regained full control. Authorities say Korbitz was thrown off the motorcycle as it went into the north ditch.
Korbitz was taken to Spencer Hospital with multiple injuries.
He was charged with failure to maintain control.
10-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the motorcycle.
The crash took place around 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
