May 25, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Estherville)– An Estherville man was injured in a mishap Monday involving a motorcycle.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a 2001 Kawasaki being operated by 74-year-old John Cook of rural Estherville was being towed by another vehicle after it became disabled. Deputies say the two vehicles were southbound in the 1500 block of 450th Avenue when the motorcycle lost control and crashed, ejecting Cook. Cook was taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital.

Authorities say the mishap took place around 1:52 pm and is still under investigation.
