(Cylinder)– A motorcycle crash Saturday on the curve on Highway 18 just north of Cylinder resulted in serious injuries.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Daniel Ayala of Algona was driving a 2004 Yamaha northbound when he exited the curve, lost control and collided with a guard rail.
Ayala was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital and was transferred to a Rochester hospital with serious injuries.
$3,000 in damage was estimated to the motorcycle.
The crash took place around 2:30 p.m.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department, Emmetsburg ambulance and the Cylinder Fire Department.
