(Spirit Lake)– A Graettinger man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash late Thursday morning at the Iowa-Minnesota border on the north side of Big Spirit Lake.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Shawn Fiddler was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson northbound on 240th Avenue when he lost control and slid into the ditch at the intersection with 100th Street.
Fiddler was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with incapacitating injuries.
The crash took place a little after 11:30 am.
The Spirit Lake Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Dickinson County Emergency Management, Spirit Lake First Responders, LRH ambulance and Jennings Tow & Repair assisted on the scene.
