(Emmetsburg)– An Emmetsburg man was injured last week after losing control of a motorcycle he was driving. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Braxton Long was driving a 2003 Honda in the 5300 block of 390th Street near Cylinder and was attempting to pass a vehicle when he lost control of the motorcycle. It slid into the ditch and collided with a sign.
Long was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital with serious injuries.
He was cited for failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper rate.
The crash took place around 11:30 am Thursday.
