(Spencer)– Motor Inn Auto Group has announced it will close its Spencer location at the end of June.
Dan Ray, General Manager of the Motor Inn Spencer location, says the store’s original lease was when it was a dealership for Oldsmobile, Pontiac, GMC and Cadillac. He says when GM cancelled or discontinued the franchises that they attempted to find a new lease reflective of what a used car lot would pay. He says attempts to do that were unsuccessful.
Mark Heywood, owner of the property, says the Spencer location, consisting of 432 feet of frontage on Grand Avenue occupying about three acres, will be put up for sale.
Ray says they’re currently in the process of liquidating inventory.
