(Spencer)– Some additional hydrant flushing will get underway in Spencer starting next week.
Spencer Municipal Utilities says the operations from Grand Avenue north of the Little Sioux River to the east city limits will begin Monday and continue through August 22nd.
Residents in that area should put in their basement sewer plugs. SMU officials say those living in that part of Spencer could also experience some temporary discoloration and a drop in water pressure while the flushing is taking place in their neighborhood.
