Moped Mishap Injures Teen

(Spencer)– An Everly teen sustained a minor injury after losing control of a moped he was operating at the intersection of two Clay county roads.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Torey Ginger of Everly was driving a Yamaha moped eastbound on 330th Street when he lost control.

Ginger was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where he was treated for a minor injury.

$500 in damage was estimated to the moped.

Ginger was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to have a valid driver’s license.

The incident took place shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
