(Spirit Lake)– A newly founded group for mothers of school-age kids will hold its first meeting in the lakes area this week. “Moms ‘n More” will hold its first session Thursday, September 29th on the second level of the Carnegie Building on Hill Avenue across from the Courthouse in Spirit Lake. It begins at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to last a couple of hours.
Plans call for the group to meet twice a month, with a five dollar annual membership fee.
Meetings will feature guest speakers addressing subjects ranging from women’s nutrition and relationships to parenting topics such as internet safety and discipline for all ages. Organizers say it will also be a valuable networking opportunity for area mothers.
