Minor Injuries Reported When School Buses Collide In Southern Minnesota

(Fairmont, Mn.)– Minor injuries were reported when two school buses collided Tuesday in southern Minnesota.

In a post on the district’s Facebook page, the Fairmont Community School District says the buses collided at the intersection of Martin County Roads 8 and 37, and that six students and four adults were involved in the accident.

Law enforcement and emergency medical services responded to the scene. The post says none of the injuries were serious, adding that school administrators were also on the site and that the families of those involved had been contacted.

The district expressed appreciation to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Ceylon Fire Department for their assistance on the scene.

The collision took place late Tuesday afternoon.
