(Estherville)– Minor injuries were reported in a fire early Saturday in a mobile home in Estherville.
Fire Chief Travis Sheridan says firefighters were called around 3:19 am to 2303 3rd Avenue South and found the back half of the trailer engulfed in flames. He says the occupant escaped the fire and went to a nearby hotel and called 911. That person sustained minor injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital.
Sheridan says the Wallingford Fire Department assisted with manpower in putting out the fire. He says smoking material has been identified as the cause.
The Estherville Police Department, Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Estherville Ambulance and Emmet County Dispatch assisted.
