(Royal)– Minor injuries were reported in a single vehicle crash Wednesday near Royal.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 73-year-old William Safley of Peterson was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox westbound in the 1800 mile of 440th Street when he lost control of the vehicle. It went into the north ditch, struck a field approach and became airborne. It landed on its side, on a fence of a cattle lot.
Safley was removed from the vehicle by first responders and was checked over.
$20,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The crash took place around 2:45 pm.
