(Cylinder)– Minor injuries were reported Monday in a semi rollover on Highway at the north Cylinder curve.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Mark Goetz of Wesley was driving a 2007 Kenworth semi tractor pulling a 2010 feed trailer westbound on Highway 18 when he failed to negotiate the curve north of Cylinder, causing him to lose control. The semi tipped over, coming to rest in the north ditch, spilling its load of feed in the process.
Goetz was checked over on the scene by paramedics.
Damage to the semi tractor and trailer was estimated at $140,000.
The incident took place around 9:15 a.m.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Cylinder Fire Department, the Emmetsburg ambulance and an officer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
