(Jackson, Mn.)- A road rage incident last Wednesday resulted in some minor injuries. Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded around 7:00 pm Wednesday evening to a report of road rage that began on Industrial Parkway in Jackson.
It continued onto County Road 23, then onto State Street. The victim’s vehicle, a 2019 Buick Enclave, was struck multiple times by the suspected vehicle. The enclave eventually came to rest in a yard on State Street and received significant damage to the rear end.
The suspect vehicle also struck power line poles owned by the City of Jackson near residences on State Street, one of which was snapped off at ground level.
At this time, deputies were able to locate the vehicle, nearly being struck head on. The suspect then stopped their vehicle at the intersection of North Highway and Highway 71. A 52 year old male driver from Windom was then arrested for 1st Degree DUI. Test refusal, assault, damage to property and an open container. The 2015 GMC pickup he was driving received damage. He also now has a probation violation warrant in Redwood County. The passengers of the Enclave, a 40 year old female and 11 year old passenger from rural Jackson were transported to Jackson Medical Center with minor injuries.
