(Spencer)– A Milford teen sustained a minor injury over the weekend in a single-vehicle mishap in Spencer.
The Spencer Police Department says 17-year-old Jordan Duncan of Milford was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound out of a private drive at the intersection of 4th Avenue West and West 1st Street. Upon entering the road, police say Duncan didn’t see another vehicle that was southbound and turning east. Authorities say Duncan then over-corrected and panicked, hitting the gas instead of the brake. The vehicle collided with a tree.
Duncan complained of a sore thumb but refused immediate medical treatment.
$3,500 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The collision took place around 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
