(St. Paul, MN)– A Minnesota agency has voted to limit an environmental assessment of the proposed Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline. The state’s Public Utilities Commission voted unanimously Thursday to limit the evaluation of the pipeline to Otter Tail and Wilkin counties.
The pipeline would cover 240 miles in Minnesota, but the commission will limit the environmental study to a segment covering about 20 miles.
The environmental study will also look into two alternate routes suggested by the advocacy group CURE.
