(Minneapolis, MN)– Minnesota may soon have a new specialty license plate. Governor Tim Walz is recommending the state create its own “blackout plate,” featuring a black background and bright white lettering. State officials estimate at least 120-thousand people will choose the plates each year. They’ve become some of the most popular specialty plates in other states, such as Colorado, Iowa and Mississippi.
