September 18, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– A Minnesota man was taken to the hospital following a single vehicle crash Monday night in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 52-year-old Brian Holien of Jasper, Minnesota was driving a 2015 Honda CRV in the 3700 mile of 240th Avenue when the vehicle went into the ditch. Authorities say Holien was able to drive the vehicle out and had left the scene by the time first responders arrived. Spencer police and a sheriff’s deputy pulled Holien over a short time later. They made contact with him and determined Holien had suffered a medical emergency. He was then taken to Spencer Hospital.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
