Minnesota Man Faces Charges Following Clay County Traffic Stop

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)—A Marshall, Minnesota man faces charges following a traffic stop this past Friday in Clay county.

Authorities say a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Ethan Lundberg of Marshall, Minnesota in the 2600 mile of County Road B63 for speeding.

Upon investigating, it was determined Lundberg’s Minnesota driver’s license had been revoked. He was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and no proof of insurance.

Prior to the vehicle being towed, a Browning Lever action rifle was found in the trunk. Authorities say the gun had been reported stolen February 7th from a residence in Lincoln county, Minnesota. A small amount of what’s believed to be marijuana was also found. The substance has been sent to the DCI crime lab for testing.

Lundberg was additionally charged with possession of stolen property.

He was booked into the Clay county jail and was later released pending a future court appearance after posting a $2,000 bond.

Authorities say additional charges are pending.
