(Milford)– The newly elected Mayor of Milford is looking forward to taking the reigns. Bob Clark ran as a write-in candidate. He tells KUOO news what it was that led up to his interest in seeking the position…
“I was contacted by a few different people, you know, and nobody was going to run. And I think in our community, we’ve got a fine community and needed somebody to step up so I thought I’d give it a try and fortunately it worked out well.”
Clark says he’s already pretty familiar with how city government functions…
“I’ve had over 30 years being involved with city government and have somewhat of a working knowledge of what goes on. I think there’s things that we can just do for our fine city and the fine residents we have in this city.”
Clark also outlines some of his goals…
“I want to see us continue to prosper like we have. I’d like to see if maybe we can recruit some new businesses, see if there’s something we can do to try to promote some affordable housing and just move the city forward like it has been and just make it a great place and keep it a great place. We’ve lived here for the last 42 years and I’m very proud of this community and want to see it grow.”
Clark also thanked his supporters in Tuesday’s election.
