(Milford)– The Milford RAGBRAI Committee has distributed nearly $45,000 in revenue from various events associated with Milford being an overnight stop on this year’s route. Recipients include the Dickinson County EMS Association, Milford Commercial Club, the Campus Women’s Club, FFA, the Peterson Lions Club, Milford Boy Scouts, Clay County Fair, Little Sioux Orchard, Making Waves for Children Project, and the city of Milford to assist in an improvements project at Buchanan Park.
A press release says eight of the 10 organizations provided service, volunteers or equipment for RAGBRAI at no charge.
A special event to thank volunteers is planned for Sunday, December 14th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Milford Community Center. Anyone who volunteered, worked, assisted or planned the event is invited.
