(Milford)– Police in Milford say a shooting that happened Monday in that city appears to have been accidental.
In a press release, Police Chief Shilo Brevik says the department was notified around 3:18 pm by Lakes Regional Healthcare that they had a man there suffering from a gunshot wound he sustained at a residence in the 800 block of P Avenue in Milford. Brevik says based on an initial investigation they have reason to believe the shooting was accidental in nature, but he says it remains under investigation.
The victim, Noah Scott, was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Milford police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Spencer Police Department.
