(Hartley)– A Milford man escaped injury in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening in O’Brien county.
The Iowa State Patrol says 18-year-old Patrick Winterboer was southbound on a county road when he lost control. Troopers say he then swerved, causing the vehicle to go into the west ditch sideways where it flipped over and rolled before coming to rest upright in a bean field.
The 2000 Lincoln he was driving was totaled.
Winterboer was cited for failure to maintain control.
The crash took place around 8:00 p.m.
