(Milford)– The Milford Fire Department holds one of its major fundraisers of the year this weekend. Firefighter Jason Simpson says their annual pancake feed will be taking place this Sunday (Sept. 1st)…
“The feed goes from 8:00 to noon. It’ll be at the fire station in Milford, and of course those pancakes are going to be cooked by the Milford Boy Scouts.”
Admission will be by a freewill donation…
“Those funds that are collected will go for ongoing equipment costs because we always know that it costs a lot of money to have equipment and we want to have the best equipment we can have for the public.”
Simpson says this year’s event will also feature a silent auction item…
“One of the firefighter’s mother made a fire quilt and she donated it to the department. We’re having a silent auction the day of the pancake feed.”
