(Milford)– A storm sewer project in Milford is moving forward.
The city council Monday approved plans and specifications for the project at the corner of 28th Street and Sportsman’s Drive.
City officials say the system in that area has fallen into disrepair and that there’s a problem with erosion.
Following a public hearing that drew no comments, the city council Monday awarded a contract on the project to Beck Excavating of Spirit Lake in the amount of 65,974-dollars. The cost came in below the engineer’s estimate of 67-thousand.
Among other things, the project includes repairing some culverts, installing rip rap, erosion control and installing new and replacing some existing manholes.
