(Milford)– Milford has a new City Administrator.
Meeting in special session Wednesday evening, the council approved the hiring of Matthew Skaret to the position. He’ll start January 18th.
Skaret is currently City Administrator in Madison, Minnesota, in the west-central part of the state.
He succeeds Brian Reed who resigned to take a similar position with the city of Brandon, South Dakota.
49 people applied for the job. The field was eventually narrowed down to five finalists by a search committee.
Skaret has been City Administrator in Madison, Minnesota about three years.
