Milford City Council Tables Drainage Easement Discussion

(Milford)– The Milford City Council Monday evening tabled discussion on a possible easement for some upcoming work in Drainage District 50 on the city’s north side. The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors, acting as drainage trustees, recently suspended that project for 90 days after learning the cost was going to increase considerably due to a number of buildings and other development that’s taken place on top of an existing tile line in that area. An engineer on the project suggested a possible option might be to construct a new line following some city right-of-way. However it was reported at Monday’s city council meeting that the same engineer is now looking into another possible option.
