Milford City Council Approves Revision Of Fireworks Ordinance

September 28, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Milford)– The city of Milford has made a revision to its fireworks ordinance. Mayor Steve Anderson says it pertains to where fireworks can be sold in the city…

“The Iowa Legislature changed zoning regulations on us on that topic, so we no longer can have any zoning restrictions on where fireworks are being sold. Our ordinance had specific zoning classes that fireworks could be sold in and that’s pretty much, most of that has been basically taken out by this legislation, so.”

The city council approved the change following a public hearing at a meeting earlier this week.
