(Arnolds Park)– Republican Presidential hopeful Michele Bachman brought her campaign this (Tues.) afternoon to the waterfront at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park with a crowd of nearly 200 people looking on.
Bachman sounded off on the S & P’s downgrade of America’s credit, saying they got it right. Adding that instead of increasing debt, it’s time people went back to work, asking “where are the jobs, Mr. President?” Adding “we’ve got all these businesses here, here you are on vacation, enjoying northern Iowa and people all across America are worried sick right now about where their job is going to be, if they’ll have a job and what in the world is going to happen to their savings.”
Bachman says of the Republican field of candidates, she is the most versed when it comes to the issues, thanks to her experience in congress.
Bachman added that unless current policies change in the nation’s capital, that irreparable harm will befall the country. She referred to a recent article predicting that in five years, China’s economy will outpace that of the U.S. She says that’s a scary scenario, adding that the jobs need to stay in this country.
Bachman also called on the abolishment of the federal Environmental Protection Agency. She blames the agency for taking away hundreds of jobs.
