Melissa Etheridge will headline the Okoboji Blue Water Festival Saturday night.
The two-time Grammy Award Winner is on her One Way Out Tour in support of the record by that name released last year. “During the pandemic I was approached by BMG, who asked if I had any material they could release, and so, I had actually, a few years before that, recorded some older songs that I had discovered looking through some of my old stuff for a box set that I did not do. Some songs that I was like, these were great songs and they didn’t make it on the album, and I really thought that the fans might enjoy hearing them, and it’s been great because I’ve been doing them out here on the road now, and I do a couple of night, and they fit right in, because they’re like the old angsty, full of desire songs that I had back in the early 90s.”
Melissa Etheridge will take the stage at 9 o’clock Saturday night at Preservation Plaza.
